About Us |

"Journey East" is a Blog website for
graduate student learning. It is developed by Educational Technology
Department of Mathematics, Science and Information College, Shanghai
Normal University. The aim of founding "Journey East" website is to
provide a Blog platform for graduate students of educational
technology. Through the platform college teachers and postgraduates
majoring in educational technology and K-12 teachers involved in
teaching can communicate with each other and exchange ideas.
"Journey east" focus on the theoretical study and practice of
educational technology and e-learning. It shows great concern with the
development of teacher’s professional development, new technology, new
idea and the advancement of society and education. “Journey east”
advocates that graduate student learning should be people-oriented. It
promotes all-round development and the combination of science,
technology and humanity spirit. The founders of the website hope the
life of student is full of passion and everyone can fly with dream. They
want to enable every student distinguish himself through the website. |

Explanation of the Second Version |
|
The first version of
“Journey East” was founded on September 23rd, 2003 and ended on
September 15th, 2005. That was an experimental period that finished the
foundation and development of educational Blog. On the basis of the
experience in founding the first educational Blog, the second version
makes some changes. It adjusts the columns of “Journey East” and
enhances the service application of the website. By these means, it can
serve graduate student learning even better and further improve the
internal quality of “Journey East”.
Our country’s audio-visual education founder, senior scholar Mr. Nan
Guonong is concerned about “Journey East” very much and gives great
support. He sings high praise for the exploration of “Journey East” in
graduate student learning of educational technology and writes the title
for the new version of “Journey East”(东行记). The present title on the
homepage of “Journey East” was written by Mr. Nan Guonong at his home in
Lanzhou on December 1st, 2005 and posted to Shanghai. 2005 grade
graduate students majoring in website design of Educational Technology
Department, Shanghai Normal University scanned and designed it.
2004 and 2005 grades graduate students of Educational Technology
Department, Shanghai Normal University discussed the format design of
“Journey East” repeatedly and consulted suggestions of tutors and some
K-12 teachers who have browsed the website. The format was finally
decided by drawing on collective wisdom.
Many domestic leaders and teachers who are devoted to educational
informatization show great concern with the foundation of “Journey
East”. We would like to express our sincere thanks for the care, help
and support of all teachers. “Journey East” is managed by Educational
Technology Department, Shanghai Normal University. We welcome all
teachers and graduate students of other schools to participate in
information exchange. |
